Famous raviolis, signature sandwiches, Gian’s own Italian sausage and imported specialty goods — our deli has opperated the same way for nearly 50 years.
In 1972, Giovanni “Gian” Bolognini — who came to Stockton from Corfino, Italy at just 16 — bought the deli where he worked, Angelini and Ferrari, and renamed it Gian’s Deli. He poured his heart into building a family-oriented Italian deli for the Stockton community, using the original recipes and favorites handed down from his own Italian heritage.
Today his son Jeffrey Bolognini runs the deli at 2112 Pacific Ave. The menu and recipes haven’t changed — including the Italian sausage made from Dario Angelini’s family recipe — and neither has the welcome.

Choose from boxed sandwiches, ravioli or pesto pasta with salad and bread, or deli meat and cheese trays. Add salads, kettle chips, drinks and desserts like our homemade tiramisu and biscotti. Call ahead for larger orders.
Gian’s Deli was featured in Season 24, Episode 13 (“Great Gear”) of Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. We’ve also been named one of San Joaquin Magazine’s Top 10 Favorite Sandwich Spots.
